Added August 22, 2026 We are funding our first two scholarship applicants. They are both returned missioneraies from Antigua attending university in the United States. Although our help is only a minor part of their needs, it is a beginning for us, which we have been able to do because of donations received. We hope to be able to offer both of them more help this academic year. Added July 25, 2026 I met last week with Travon's father. He is branch president in Antigua, and relates to me that Travon is progressing well with his therapy. Added January 13, 2026 Travon is a member in Antigua. He is a police officer here, and while arresting someone, he had his leg shot off. It had to be amputated. The cost of a prosthetic and therapy related to it are not covered by the system here. Since this does not fit in with our IRS exemption, we are personally funding one-half of his prosthetic and rehabilitation. Added January 10, 2026 We just received IRS approval of our tax-exempt status as a private operating foundation. Cash contributions are tax deductible as with any other charity, and can be used to offset up to 60% of the individual's adjusted gross income. Excess amounts can be carried forward for five years. See Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code and as always consult your tax advisor./a>
